Blues Kitchen, Camden

I thought it was time to check out the burger at the Blues Kitchen, they'd mentioned that it was pretty damn good so i headed to Camden with an empty stomach.

The venue is situated on the corner of Camden High and Delancey Streets. Its a large high ceilinged pub with spacious booths and tables at the front near the bar, then it opens out into a music venue with the stage at the back.
Their £10 classic cheeseburger comes with Fries and Slaw and arrives on a sheet of greaseproof atop a wooden board. The burger comes in a squishy floured bun, lightly toasted on the insides. The patty is very tasty, balanced seasoning, well cooked edges yet perfectly medium rare in the centre. My choice of Monterey Jack was well melted into the top of it. They chuck some pickle slices on top of the cheese, then red onion and tomato slices, then a couple leaves of iceberg lettuce. The veggies were fresh and crunchy and tasted seasoned too which added a bit of pep to the top of the bite. I was impressed with their burger sauce which they sneak in under the patty.
The size of everything was on the money and the ratio of ingredients spot on. All in all a very decent juicy burger with good texture and plenty of flavour. Good work Blues Kitchen!
The fries were decent too, as was the finely grated homemade slaw. They also have an interesting selection of beers i had a New Orleans 'Dixie' which was great. I'll be back to see a band and enjoy another one of their burgers with some blues & few beers soon.
